Chalk the Walk

Hello Pierce Park families! We are looking for volunteers to help with set up and other support during Chalk the Walk this Monday, September 14th from 11:30-1:00. 

For the past two years, Pierce Park Elementary has participated in this community-wide mental health awareness event coordinated by Boise State BroncoBOLD in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month. Led by Boise State’s BroncoBOLD initiative, the event brings together Boise State student-athletes, students, staff, local schools, and community members to cover sidewalks with colorful messages of hope, encouragement, connection, and support. Chalk the Walk is designed to spark conversations about mental health, reduce stigma, remind individuals that they are not alone, and connect communities around the importance of looking out for one another. What began as a small Boise State Athletics effort in 2019 has grown into a major community initiative involving dozens of schools throughout southern Idaho and thousands of students.
